Fit tips by dress style

Cut and fabric change how a dress fits — a few pointers:

  • Bodycon & bandage: designed to hug the body and hold their shape. If you're between sizes or want comfort, size up. Shop bodycon dresses and bandage dresses.
  • Maxi & A-line: forgiving through the hip and skirt — go by your bust and waist. See maxi dresses and a-line dresses.
  • Corset & structured: fitted at the bust and waist; measure carefully and size up if in doubt. Browse corset dresses.
  • Satin & slip: less stretch, so allow room — go by your fullest measurement. Shop satin dresses.

Fit guarantee tips

  • Between two sizes? Choose the larger size for comfort.
  • Fabric type causes slight variation — always check any product-specific size note.

Dress size FAQ

How do I convert my US dress size to UK or EU?

Add 4 to a US size for UK/AU (US 8 = UK 12) and add 32 for EU (US 8 = EU 40). Use the conversion table above for exact ranges across S–5XL.

How do I know what dress size I am?

Measure your bust, waist and hips in inches, then match the largest of the three to the US size chart above — or use the instant size finder. When measurements fall in two sizes, size up.

How do I measure myself for a dress?

With a soft tape: bust around the fullest part of your chest, waist around the narrowest point, hips around the fullest part of your seat. Keep the tape snug and level.

Do dresses run small or large?

It depends on the style. Bodycon, bandage and corset dresses fit close and can run small — size up if between sizes. Maxi, A-line and flowy styles run truer to size.

What is my dress size if my measurements are between two sizes?

Choose the larger size for a comfortable fit, especially in non-stretch fabrics like satin. For stretchy bodycon styles you can stay with the smaller size for a snug look.
